Prior to forming LIPSTIK Marketing, Laura worked as Director of Marketing in Oil & Gas since 2007. She started and ran the marketing department for the largest privately held valve distributor in the world where she wrote newsletters, print ads, sales presentations to the major oil companies, and organized events such as golf tournaments and trade shows, She was also responsible for the company philanthropy foundation. She also was responsible for implementing Supplier Diversity.
In 2008, Apple introduced the iPad to the world. The company that she worked for at the time bought 50. With the aid of a trusting and helpful IT department she was fortunate enough to be the first company in Houston that brought Apple employees onsite to help implement the revolutionary sales tools. It was quite a moment as a dozen 50 year old men, most of whom were techno-challenged, learned and got excited about their new sales tool. It was a moment. Life changing for some in that room, but definitely for Laura. It was at that exact moment she first dreamed of her own business, bringing her passion for technology and marketing experience to teach people that "Yes. You can."
